Subject: Complaint against mosquito menace

Sir,

May I have the honor to bring to your kind notice the mosquito menace in this Area? There has been a week-long heavy rain this year. There are many potholes in the streets and dirty water collects in them. Consequently, they in turn become the breeding places for mosquitoes. The residents have been hit hard and there is every likelihood of the spread of an epidemic(malaria, dengue, chikungunya, etc).

I suggest the following urgent measures to cope with the problem.

1. D.D.T. should be sprayed immediately.
2. The pits containing water should be filled without delay.
3. The heaps of rubbish lying on the corners of the streets should be got removed.
