1. Bangladesh Chemical Industry Corporation

Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation or Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) is a government-owned company in Bangladesh. Shah Md. Imdadul Haque is the current chairman of the organization.

The Bangladesh Chemical Industry Corporation (BCIC) was established on 1 July 1986 by merging 3 corporations namely Bangladesh Fertilizer, Chemical, and Herbal Industry Corporation, Bangladesh Paper and Board Corporation, Bangladesh Tanneries Corporation as per the 25th Amendment to the 1978 Presidential Ordinance No. 26 of 1972.


2. Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industries Corporation

Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industries Corporation is a state-owned corporation in Bangladesh responsible for sugar production. It is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Industries, Government of Bangladesh. Bangladesh Sugar Mill Corporation was formed in 1972 by Presidential Order No. 26. Later on 1 July 1986, Bangladesh Sugar Mill Corporation and Bangladesh Food and Allied Industries Corporation were merged to form Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industries Corporation.


3. Bangladesh Steel and Engineering Corporation


Bangladesh Steel and Engineering Corporation or BSEC is a government-owned organization in Bangladesh. It was established on July 1, 1986It is managed by Progress, which supplies Mahindra vehicles in Bangladesh. It endorsed Honda in 2012 to get bikes in Bangladesh. It gave over its dockyard and designing work to the Bangladesh Navy at Narayanganj. Under this, Chittagong Dry Dock is situated in Chittagong, Bangladesh. In 2016, the Bangladesh government reported plans to construct a naval force transport at the Chittagong Dry Dock. It constructs a conspiratorial-open footbridge in Sylhet. The administrative center of this association is in the BSEC building situated in Kawran Bazar, where RTV, NTV, and Daily Amar Desh are additionally settled.

4. Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation


Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation or BSIC for short is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Industries of the Government of Bangladesh which works for the development of small and cottage industries in Bangladesh. It was established in 1956 as an ordinance of parliamentary law.

In 1956, when Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was the Minister of Industries and Commerce in the then United Front government, he introduced a bill in the then Constituent Assembly to form a government body called Small and Cottage Industries Corporation. On May 30 of the same year, the East Pakistan Small and Cottage Industries Corporation was established. BSIC has been playing a pivotal role in the private sector as a government entity engaged in the development and growth of small cottage and rural industries.
